FJ-07 Digital Dash Review

Yamaha never intended to change the digital dash from FZ to FJ and why should they? Since we know that, here's a dash tour and review to get everyone up to speed. Personally i'm content with this and wouldn't care for anything different... although an analog RPM gauge would have been nice

I love how simple it is and everything you essentially need to know is right there in front of you. Main thing is tacho, speed, gear, clock, and fuel. That's all you really ever need to know and it's great that it's all on one screen.

It sure is.

At this rate hopefully they have tech built in to one day allow for syncing between it and some Google Glass type product for riders. That will be the ultimate instrument cluster for me.

I think I seen some helmets that utilized that but I'm not too sure if they really came in to production. It looked super cool and even had a rear-view camera on it but I think there was a big debate on whether or not it was distracting for riders or not.

as long as you have the option to turn it on/off on the fly there shouldn't be much of an issue, at the end of the day its a tool to get a better idea of what around you, that's all it should be. plus that's how most night vision systems work
