Yamaha is still limiting the FJ-07 in places like North America and New Zealand. At this point, if someone really wants the Tracer 700, they may have to get one shipped in from somewhere else. No idea why Yamaha is so hesitant to make the a global model.
Yeah the Tracer has been “coming soon” to North America for two years now. Would be nice just to get an update on why the delay. Its going to be too expensive to import, and I’d really like to see it in person and test drive it. Plus I'm assuming it will be tuned a little different for our market with the Euro4 restrictions.
By the time Yamaha offers something like the FJ-07 in North America, it may be time to give the motorcycle an update or rework the bike. IT's been too long and I've already started looking into other models, which means less business for Yamaha.
Think ill give them until the end of the summer to confirm whether or not we'll actually see this bike here. Otherwise i'm going to have to start shopping around for alternatives. Its a shame because I really like what i see with the Tracer.
